Overview

**NEW FOR 2025**

Nestled in the picturesque village of Sidbury, Devon, this charming holiday home offers an idyllic escape for families, friends and couples seeking to explore the stunning East Devon countryside. Sidbury, steeped in history, is one of Devon's oldest settlements, boasting a warm community atmosphere, with its historic church, delightful local pub, village butcher and the very welcoming 'Wag and Bone' dog-friendly cafe. Surrounded by rolling hills and scenic walking trails, it's the perfect gateway to the Jurassic Coast and the nearby bustling town of Sidmouth. Whether you're looking to immerse yourself in nature or enjoy the charm of a traditional Devon village, this property provides an excellent base.

Inside, the accommodation is beautifully appointed, combining elegance and practicality. Downstairs, you'll find the back door opens into a spacious utility room with a washing machine-ideal for cleaning up after muddy countryside walks or a day out with the dog. The well-equipped kitchen caters to all your culinary needs, while the spacious dining room (in the original 18th century part of the cottage) is perfect for family meals or romantic dinners. The beamed ceiling and open gas fire add to the cosy feel. The bright and airy lounge is a welcoming retreat, complete with comfortable sofas, a smart TV, and even a piano for a touch of musical charm, whilst enjoying stunning views across the Sid Valley. Also, on the ground floor, there is a shower room with WC.

Upstairs, the property boasts three inviting bedrooms. The master bedroom features a luxurious super king bed, a dressing room and an ensuite shower room with WC, all accompanied by breath-taking views. There is plenty of room for a travel cot and the dressing room even provides a desk in a quiet corner for those who might have to do a little working-from-home. The twin bedroom and single bedroom offer flexible sleeping arrangements for families or groups. Additionally, there's a third WC on this level.

Outside, the lawned garden is a true highlight, providing a serene space to unwind and enjoy a sunrise coffee or evening drink whilst taking in the panoramic vistas. You can watch the comings and goings along the East Devon Way which runs along the far side of the field and might even be treated to the church bells in the distance.

There is driveway parking for 2 vehicles - please note the driveway is not suitable for low framed cars.

The surrounding area offers a wealth of activities and attractions to suit all interests. Explore the iconic Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its dramatic cliffs, pebble beaches, and charming seaside towns like Sidmouth, Beer, and Branscombe. For outdoor enthusiasts, the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers countless walking and cycling trails, while families can enjoy days out at local attractions such as The Donkey Sanctuary or Crealy Adventure Park. With its combination of countryside charm, modern comforts, and an unbeatable location, this holiday home is the perfect choice for your next Devon escape
