Barnhuis

Barnhuis is a modern detached and peaceful bungalow situated in the delightful village of Otterton and within walking distance of the path following the Jurassic coastline towards Sidmouth and Exmouth. Otterton has much to offer with the River Otter running down to the estuary at Budleigh Salterton and lovely walks along the river. There is a 1000-year-old working mill with bakery, craft centre, gift shop and restaurant which regularly hosts live music. The village pub is close by. The village community shop, manned by volunteers, stocks all the essentials. The bus stop is only a 2-minute walk away. Nearby Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton have lovely pebble beaches, individual shops and cafes. There is an extensive sandy beach at Exmouth whilst Ladram Bay less than a mile away, has holiday resort facilities. 

There is level access to entrance hall with cloakroom and W.C.

There is an open plan kitchen and dining area with a flatbed combination microwave oven, electric and gas hobs and Actifry Air Fryer. 

The large double bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobes, ample storage space and an en-suite wet room with strong shower, W.C. and hand basin.

Local maps are available showing the many local walking routes. All rooms are on the same level and have underfloor heating.

There is a patio area outside with an electric socket and water tap. Guests can access the owner's large garden. 

Parking: There is parking for 1 car next to the property adjacent to a Zappi tethered fast EV charger, charged at £40 extra/week if required.

A perfect location for walking and birdwatching along the River Otter, exploring the South West Coast Path or just relaxing. The Otter estuary has recently been completely changed (LORP project) to be tidal, attracting new species of birds. Beavers can be seen up the river. Few minutes' walk to the two local pubs and delightful Otterton Mill. Locations nearby include Woodbury Park & Golf Club, Bicton Botanical Gardens, Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve and Woodbury Castle, Sidmouth, Exmouth, Exeter City Centre and Killerton Gardens.
