Overview

Enjoy unrivalled sea views over Sidmouth cricket field from this newly refurbished apartment with luxury furnishings throughout. Much care and thought has been given in making this a superb holiday apartment to stay in at any time of the year. Step outside and you are within a level walk of the lovely individual shops, restaurants, pubs and the beach with its long esplanade. 

A few external steps lead through the entrance hall where a lift takes you to the 2nd floor. The lift takes you diretly to the front door of the property.

Lounge: Spacious, bright, airy and beautifully furnished living area with two comfortable sofas, smart TV, art work and antique dining suite. The 'reading corner' benefits from a further armchair enjoying sea views. A further snug area with one sofa.

Fully equipped kitchen with an induction hob and full size fridge/freezer.

Bedroom 1: The master bedroom with sea views has a king size bed, a chest of drawers and there is hanging space in the hallway just outside. 

Bedroom 2: A few steps lead to the rear of the apartment where there is a good sized twin room with plenty of storage space and room for a cot, views over the rear of the property.

Bathroom: The bright family bathoom has a walk in shower, WC and wash basin. (Please note there are a few steps to reach this from the rear twin room)

Parking: A residents/visitors parking permit (supplied at the property) allows parking in front of the terrace, however this does not guarantee a parking space at all times. For additional parking, Jacob's Ladder long stay car park is a 5-minute walk away. Tickets are £27 per week and cover all East Devon council car parks.

All the artworks in the property are originals made by the owner who is an artist and art teacher. They are mostly oils on canvas which are inspired by the Devon coast. There are also watercolours and monoprints.The artworks on display will be constantly changing and will not necessarily be as shown in the photographic descriptions as they may either be taken for exhibitions or may have been sold.  A descriptive list and titles of work will be available at the property. 

Sidmouth is a brilliant base for any age of guest, enjoy delicious food at great retaurants such as The Pea Green Boat to Lympstone Manor. Explore a range of activities on offer from nearby beaches off the South West Coat Path to day trips with the kids to The Donkey Sanctuary and Pecorama. There is paddleboarding & kayaking available over the summer from the beach right in front of Artists View, or enjoy a round of golf at Sidmouth or Honiton Golf Club.

Everything is easy and convenient at Artist’s View ! Easy parking and a lift into the sitting room make for a relaxed start to your holiday. The first thing you notice is the splendid seascape from the sitting and main bedroom. The view is compelling; take binoculars and be prepared to spend lots of time enjoying it! Simply, but attractively furnished this is a delightful apartment for your holiday. The changes that have been made since my first stay are improvements that help to upgrade the overall ambience. In my opinion the addition of pretty cups and saucers for guests use, more equipment generally in the kitchen, a couple more throws in the sitting room some bright rugs, and a welcome pack would add to the guest’s experience. This is, after all part of a glorious building where it’s a privilege to stay. It would be wonderful if the fittings and equipment better reflected that. Neighbours are friendly and there are places to sit outside and enjoy the cricket, for example, on the sports field adjacent with the sea as a backdrop. Public transport is a 3 minute walk away. I was very comfortable during my stay and hope to return.
