Sidmouth

Pet Friendly Holiday

About this property

Built for the aristocracy in 1790 as marine homes, Fortfield Terrace has to be Sidmouth's most prestigious address. St David's was first occupied by Lord Gwydir who hosted Queen Caroline in 1826. Today St David's forms the ground floor of this impressive property and offers superb holiday accommodation. This lovely apartment for two has been completely refurbished to a very high standard, retaining many original features and beautifully furnished. Superb far reaching un-interrupted views over the croquet lawn and cricket field and out to sea over Lyme Bay. Fortfield Terrace is within easy level walking distance of the shops and esplanade, the bus stops with many regular buses to Exeter and all nearby towns is a stones throw away.

Accommodation

Access is either via a slope at the side of the terrace or steps from the parking space. There is also rear access via the enclosed garden. Two steps into the entrance hall with door into the apartment which is elegantly furnished and presented in keeping with the period.   Spacious living room with comfortable sofa and electric riser/recliner chair. Open plan kitchen and dining area. Twin bedroom with quality beds, one bed is electrically adjustable for those with mobility issues. En-suite shower room with hand basin, shower cubicle and WC. Through the hall there is access via 5 shallow steps to the sun dial courtyard walled garden. This is a real delight, with many rare shrubs, lighting in the evening and sitting areas. There is also a sitting area at the front of the property on the terrace with lovely views.

*Short Break prices shown are for 3 nights only, please call for 4 or 5 night prices if required. Short Breaks are available from the end of October half term to the start of the Easter school holidays, or at the owners' discretion for a last minute booking at other times of the year. Unfortunately it would be most unusual for us to be in a position to consider a short break at peak holiday times, such as the October and February half terms or over the Christmas, New Year and Easter breaks.
